salt and pepper both sides
place fat side up in roaster
put a dab of butter on each piece
bake @ 350° for 1 hour
pour gravy over chicken, cook additional 30 minutes

Baked Chicken and Gravy

Pork and Sauerkraut

1 lb. ground chuck
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 large or 2 small eggs - beaten
1 small can Carnation evaporated milk
onion salt, pepper, bread crumbs - enough to make solid
ketchup - spread on top

bake @ 325° for 1 hour 15-30 minutes, uncovered

Meatloaf

sloppy joe recipe / ground meat & macaroni 

1-1.5 1b ground beef - brown & drain 
1 can tomato soup 
0.5 can water 
1 tbsp ketchup 
1 tspn sugar 

let simmer 20 min uncovered 

* also can add 0.5 cup elbow macaroni - cooked 

Sloppy Joe / Ground Meat and Macaroni

peel, core, and slice 8-10 Granny Smith apples
combine 2 sticks softened butter or margarine w/ 2 c. flour and 3 tbsp sugar
spread into jelly roll pan
place sliced apples on dough
COMBINE 1 c sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon
pour over apples
BAKE @ 375° for 30 minutes
take out, cover w/ foil
bake additional 15 minutes
COOK 2 large or 3 sm. pkgs. vanila pudding (NOT instant) w/ 5 cups milk
COOK SLOW until done
pour over apples
cover w/ foil - let cool

REFRIGERATE overnight
top with Cool Whip to serve

Apple Custard Squares

Pork Chops with Beer Gravy

1 lb beef
1/2 lb pork
onion salt
pepper
1 egg
1 slice white bread soaked in milk
	squeeze out excess and rip into small pieces
Shape into small meatballs
Bake at 350° til brown, about 20 min. Drain on paper towel before adding to soup mixture

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can milk
Pour over meatballs, cover and heat until bubbly and warmed through; about 20-25 min.
